Bette Ann Ewell

Bette Ann Ewell, 78 of Tempe, Arizona died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Promise Hospital, Mesa, Arizona. She was born in Shawneetown, Illinois on May 18, 1938 to Ralph and Jewell Chapman. On January 23, 1954 she married Glendell Ewell. Glen and Bette moved to Arizona for her health due to a severe arthritis condition in January, 1964. She worked for Kellwood Company of Mesa, Arizona for 14 years from July, 1964 to August, 1978. Bette has been a licensed realtor since 1978 when she went to work with her husband and her brother, Curt Chapman at American ERA Realtors. A few years later they changed the name to American Associates Real Estate. Bette was very successful in Sales and Property Management until her retirement in 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, Randall and Jewell Morgan. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Glendel of Tempe, Arizona, daughter, Bonnie Ewell-Doll, son, David Ewell, five grandchildren, Chelsea and Karen Doll and Ashlee, Austin, and Taylor Ewell. Also surviving her three brothers, Curtis Chapman of Tempe, Arizona, Gary Chapman of Pontiac, Illinois, and Randall Morgan of Pontiac, Illinois. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Richardson Funeral Home, 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona with Pastor Mark Chappell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bette's name may be made to Freeway Baptist Church, 8501 N. Black Canyon Highway, Phoenx, Arizona 85021. Envelopes will be available at the service.
