Mary Ware Obituary

Mary E. Ware, 93 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at her home on October 19, 2016. She was born on January 4, 1923 to Chester and Winifred (Bengston) Rohlf in Sheldon, Iowa. She received her primary education at East High School in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1940, Mary was united in marriage to Floyd Ware and to this union, a daughter, Joyce was born. She worked at various paper and printing companies in the Des Moines area including Hammermill Paper Company and Grand Printing. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Rohlf, James Guthrie, Jack Guthrie, and one sister, Clarice Fales. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joyce Davis, three grandchildren, Amanda (Scott) Vande, Jennifer (Denny) Lewellen, John (Suzanne) Davis, six great-grandchildren, Katie, Colin, and Lily Vande, Marek Lewellen, Connor and Reese Davis, one sister, Eloise St. John of Dallas, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Mary's life will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Richardson Funeral Home, 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's name are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St, Phoenix, Arizona 85015. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
