“Troy and all of the staff at Richardson Funeral Home were a huge blessing when we had to make arrangements for embalming, a local service, transportation out of state, and out of state service and interment for my father. They had many options to choose from for caskets, flowers, and programs, had a clear and reasonable price sheet, and were very comforting, helpful, and friendly throughout the entire process. Our initial consultation lasted about 2 hours, by the end of which we had everything in place for the service but the music, and had referrals for an out of state funeral to handle our other arrangements. The folks at Richardson also went out of their way on several occasions, including helping arrange a customized bouquet, staying late to help us stuff some special program inserts we arranged separately into the programs they provided the evening before the service, dropping off certificates to our lawyer's office while we were out of town, and too many other details to mention. We appreciate greatly everything they did for us, and would highly recommend them to anyone else with need of their services, especially if you don't live locally and need extra help with out of town arrangements.”

My mother was admitted to Hospice care 3 weeks prior to her passing. The staff at Hospice of the Valley encouraged me to begin the process of making her funeral arrangements right away. I intended to meet with several funeral homes from a list provided by Hospice to compare services. My first meeting was with Troy Richardson. He was professional and compassionate and provided the information I needed in a caring way. My mother wished to be cremated and Troy answered all my questions at that first meeting. When my mother died, my children and I met with Troy to review the arrangements I had made initially. Troy accommodated all my children's requests and put their concerns to rest while doing so. We were so grateful that we had selected the Richardson Funeral Home and highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

At a difficult time, Troy and the team at Richardson were truly a godsend. They helped us plan a service and make arrangements at a time when my whole family was struggling with a sudden death. What an amazing place and staff!! Troy was with me every step of the way! I was literally watching my dad fading away and I had no direction or idea on what to do once he passed. I called Troy to just understand what I should do and he was so informative, caring, and patient with me. Unfortunately, my dad passed the day after I talked to him.... I was in another world and so sad, so I did all I could think of and called Troy he was so caring and told me to take as much time I needed and he would come to hospice when hospice called. When he came he was so caring and sweet! And from there he just continued extreme care with my dad and my family. He was so responsive any time I contacted him, he was patience especially when certain details to the service would change, and always there to just talk it through! My sweet father passed away Thursday afternoon. As he was in hospice, my family had chosen Richardson's Funeral Home last April to handle the arrangements. After a few months of thinking what I wanted to say regarding the compassionate care of my father in law Herb Schumann, I now have the words. We met with Troy "before" the time my father in law passed away, and pretty much interviewed funeral homes. It wasn't an easy decision, however it was necessary that we knew certain things and how things worked. We wanted certain things to be taken care of. Regardless of how small it may have seemed, to us, it was huge to know that these things were taken care of. We knew when we walked in that we would not need to interview anymore. Losing a spouse is heartbreaking. To have people like Troy and his staff hold you up and walk you through makes the process a little more doable. I called these kind folks while a Resthaven-Carr Tenney Mortuary being pressured to pay large $ for services I did not want. Polly answered the phone and was SO NICE, stopped what she was doing, answered my questions, and helped me escape from the clutches of those evil people at the other funeral home. She encouraged me to come in at my convenience even though they were busy and once there, the owner Troy, made the time to sit down with us to explain what they offered, pricing, options, etc and turned what started as a HORRIBLE experience at Resthaven-Carr Tenney Mortuary into a great experience with kind people who actually wanted to help. Once we settled on a plan, Troy and Polly made it happen and retrieved my loved one from the clutches of the other guys the same afternoon. It turned out that I and our son's step-mother were reviewing and impressed with online searches of Richardson Funeral Home simultaneously. We, Mike's biological mother and father (and spouses), his sister (her husband and daughter) met with Mark the following day and his sincere care, listening ability and a keen sense of where and how, concern and information were needed were impressive and appreciated. When I had finished the obituary draft for our Son (Michael) I sent it to Polly for her review and opinion. She was not only very responsive but suggested very sound changes that made this Obituary as meaningful and heartfelt as his survivors could have imagined. I would like to thank Troy Richardson of the Richardson Funeral Home in Tempe. Arizona. People had given me his name as a person to call for a ship out from Mesa, Arizona. I contacted Troy and inquired about his price. I told him that he was higher than most that I had contacted. He said that I would find value in his service and in his embalming. Now being a family owned firm and seeing that the Richardson Funeral Home is also I decided to give him a try. Well, I have never had a more pleasant experience. From first call to the time we received the deceased from the airport, their service was brilliant! They were continuing to update me every step of the way. Had death certificates signed in four hours and flight scheduled in six. Body shipped out the following day of death. Unpacked and was amazed at the care and detail of the body. Well-groomed, clean, dressing gown, placed in array wonderfully and secured so no movement in shipping. I am truly amazed at the service I received. It was money well spent. The family will never remember how much they spent but will certainly remember how Dad looked!! Thanks so much, Troy! Job well done!!

Troy Richardson and his entire staff were very caring, patient, helpful , knowledgeable and efficient during this difficult time for me and my family as we lost my dear wife, our beloved mother of my children Grandmother to my Grandchildren. When my sister could not handle picking up my mother ashes, I called them, to see if they would be able to send my mother back home to Florida. Polly did it with no hesitation. I really don't know if that was a part of the package, but regardless, Polly contacted me when she sent her on her flight and contacted me when my mother arrived in Florida. Troy made an extremely tough time (Covid 19, unexpected death) bearable. He was careful, patient, kind, and even helped us with a connection with beautiful, last-minute flowers. Troy Richardson at Richardson Funeral Home handles my mother's cremation in May 2020, and obtained copies of her death certificates for our family. I bought my mother's urn on-line to match my father's and asked Troy if he could put the remains into urns purchased from an outside source. He made a difficult time so easy with his professionalism and flexibility. I dreaded handling the cremation, afraid I would end up with a funeral director pressuring me to purchase more than I wanted, or refusing to let me buy my urn elsewhere. Troy was direct, never tried to sell me anything beyond what I originally said I was looking for, and was polite and timely. When paperwork had to be signed by relatives out of state, he worked to accommodate the exchange of forms using email or fax - very helpful. There is little worse than grieving the loss of someone you love and having to simultaneously figure out how to fax something in 2020 - during a pandemic. Oh! The pandemic. I will also remark that Troy observed social distancing and wore a mask when we were in the funeral home and for our meeting. We felt very comfortable and safe in his facility. He answered all of my questions, was friendly, and expedited my mother's paperwork so she was cremated within a day of passing - very valuable in our faith. Lastly, he took my mother's photo and made an obituary page for her on the website. Thank you Troy, for your willingness to educate us on the process, for your compassion and for your professionalism.

Prior to the passing of our Son, I had looked for a funeral home to take care of the details for preparation for transport for our Son to another state. It was after hours when I called and left a message with a friendly woman who answered the phone. Within 5 minutes, Troy Richardson called me back. I had explained that we were within a matter of hours to days and that we were looking into transporting our Son to Texas for his final resting place. Samantha was amazing and went above and beyond to help and to make this process as easy as possible. We did not do service, due to circumstances, and only had a cremation but still top-notch service. No pressure and very comforting.
