Alexander Justin Septon, age 25, of Tempe, Arizona passed away at his home on April 19, 2019. He was born on July 17, 1993 in Chula Vista, CA. Alex is a much beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be forever loved by his parents Diana and Craig Ward, by his sisters Stacey & Melody and by his brothers Wesley & Garrett. Alex is forever cherished by his maternal grandparents Aurora & Norman Septon; his aunts and uncles Eunice & Greg Magill, Kay Septon, and Linda & Dan DeSousa; his cousins Nathan Septon, Desiree Matthes, Valerie Their, Clinton Their, Kimberly Their. On his father’s side he will be dearly missed by his aunt and uncle Pricilla and Scott Ward and Deborah and Kevin Ward.

Alex graduated in 2011 from Westwood High School in Mesa, AZ where he completed four years of Navy J.R.O.T.C. After graduation Alex worked very hard to get into shape to join the Navy. In March of 2013 he joined as a Hospital Corpsman and he graduated from bootcamp May 10th, 2013 from Great Lakes Naval Training Center.

Alex was a lover of good food, movies, and video games. He was lovingly nicknamed Old School Al for his tastes in classic rock-n-roll like Queen and Led Zeppelin. Alex loved cooking and would often be up late at night cooking and singing in the kitchen. Alex will be terribly missed for his ability to make everyone laugh. He was also quick witted and loved political humor. His favorite color was orange and he dreamed of owning a bright orange Camaro with black racing stripes. Alex will be remembered for being kind, gentle, helpful, polite, intelligent, and funny.

On Saturday May 4th, 2019 there will be a private family ceremony in Mesa, AZ and a Celebration of Life will be held May 5, 2019 from noon to 4:00 PM, at the home of Diana & Craig Ward, 3945 S. Beck Ave, Tempe, AZ. All friends and family are welcome. Wear something orange to honor Alex, bring a dish he would have liked, and expect a jubilant celebration of an amazing young man.
