Barbara Jean Southern, 71 of Chandler, Arizona passed away on July 12, 2017. She was born on June 30, 1946 the daughter of Dewey and Luella (Base) Auten in Garden City, Kansas. She worked as a Purchasing Clerk for DeKalb County, Georgia before moving to Arizona in 2014. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Jacqueline LaChance and a brother, Dewey Auten Jr. No formal services are planned in Arizona. Services and interment of Barbara's cremated remains will take place at a later date in Garden City, Kansas. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
