Cleon Baker III Obituary

Cleon S. Baker III was born January 13, 1986 to Zina Lain and Cleon Baker Jr. in Joliet, Illinois. He departed this life suddenly to be with his almighty father on April 30, 2018. He attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from Joliet Central High School. His employment was always in the culinary field as this was his life passion. He was currently employed at Bella Restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona as one of their chef’s which he enjoyed immensely. Cleon was a loving son, father and brother. There was nothing more he enjoyed than spending time with his family. To know him was to love him. He will be truly missed by all whom came in contact with him. Cleon was baptized at an early age, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. Cleon loved studying his bible which was the word of God whom he believed in. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers; George Lain, Sr. and Sam Pierce; paternal grandfather, Cleon Super, maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harrell, Sr.; aunt, Valerie Baker; great aunts, Brenda Harrell and Zandria Harrell; great uncle, Walter Harrell, Jr.; one brother, Antwyne Nobles; special cousins, Samuel “Meechie” Harrell, Devron Weddington, and Deon Perry. Cleon is survived by his loving and devoted children, Jonathan Nathaniel Baker and Cameron Baker; devoted and caring mother, Zina Lain; father, Cleon Baker Jr., a loving devoted step-father, Charles Harris; three sisters, Tattiana Amos of Park Forest, IL, JahQuinnette Amos of Joliet, IL and Catrina Nobles of Joliet, IL; two brothers, Kasim Baker of Joliet, IL and Maurice Baker of Denver, CO; grandmothers, Dorothy J. Knight and Dorothy Mae Baker; aunts, Anita Lain, Levita Lain, Michelle McAfee, Cora Walker, Tameka Pierce, Lynette Baker, and Darlene Baker and a host of aunts, uncles; special uncles, George Lain Jr. of Arizona, Charles McAfee, Marvin McAfee, Terrance Pierce; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona and Minor Morris Funeral Home, Joliet, Illinois are both compassionately serving the family.
