Kenneth M. Greene

Kenneth M. Greene passed away on August 8, 2018 at the age of 72, after a ten-month fight with esophageal cancer. Ken was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and was predeceased by his mother, Sadye J. Greene. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy, and three children: Deborah (Ted) Barton, Karen (Chris) Sobczak and Kenny (Joanna) Greene. Ken was "Papa" to seven grandchildren: Allison, Kyle, Ryan, Emily, Claire, Dylan and Ella. Some of his proudest moments were talking to others about his children and grandchildren. Ken's 44 year career as Regional Credit Manager in the floor covering industry included Longust Distributing, LaSalle-Deitch Company, LDBrinkman, ProSource Wholesale Floor Coverings, Tempe Decorating and Monterrey Tile, retiring in 2016. He enjoyed outdoor sports and instilled his love of hunting, fishing, and camping in his children. Riding on his quad at his cabin in Vernon created many wonderful memories. Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Richardson Funeral Home, 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ken's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1188 North Dobson Road, Chandler, Arizona 85224 Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
