Logan Joseph McAdams, 21 of Tempe, Arizona passed away at his home on March 28, 2019. He was born on October 15, 1997 the beloved son of Christopher Scott and Jean Marie (Curfman) McAdams in Phoenix, Arizona. Logan is survived by his parents Scott and Jean of Tempe, Arizona; his sisters Jessica (Zach Friedman) and Samantha of Omaha, Nebraska. He also leaves his maternal grandfather Dale Curfman (Virginia Maxwell) of Queen Creek, Arizona; maternal grandmother Loretta Curfman of Laveen, Arizona; his paternal grandmother Saundra McAdams (Robert, deceased) of Tempe, Arizona; and a large clan of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind a slew of friends that will miss him dearly. Logan had a huge heart and was a touchstone of love and support for many. There is not enough room here to convey all the beautiful sentiments his many, many friends have relayed to us. Logan was truly a light to many, and the world is less without him in it. We were given a precious gift and now we must give him back. This is hard, but we have been blessed to see the joy and laughter that shined in every room he entered. His love of the outdoors and sitting by the fire were some of the most peaceful and fulfilling times we have shared with him as a family. We are left with only the memory of a child’s hand in ours growing into a man’s firm grip. His stature, loving heart, and resolve truly blessed our lives and those he touched. We will miss his big hugs, the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, his smile, his laugh, and his unsurpassed sense of humor. He truly was “extra” and savage. We will miss him, indeed. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 9:30 am, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:15 am, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona. A gathering of family and friends will be held at his family’s home immediately after the Mass. Please RSVP to jeanmcadams@hotmail.com.
