Marie grew up in McKees Rocks surrounded by a large and loving extended family and on May 16, 1953 married the love of her life, Edward Novak and moved to Greentree, Pennsylvania where they raised their three children and faithfully supported their numerous activities. Marie's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She loved cooking, baking and entertaining; all talents that she inherited from her Italian family. Marie had a deep and devoted love of God and centered her life around her faith. She was an active member of St. Margaret’s Parish in Greentree, Pennsylvania and participated in many church activities. In 2007, Marie and Ed moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to be close to their daughter, Mary Ellen. They soon acclimated to their desert home at Scottsdale House where they made new and loving friends and joined a new parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Marie especially loved socializing with the ladies in her neighborhood community and getting together with the women of Sodality. Marie was loved by everyone that met her. She was always kind and generous and the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ed; and is survived by her children, Sue (Mike), Ed (Jodee) and Mary Ellen (Carl); and her grandchildren, Luke (Meg), Emily, Carl (Stephanie), Jenna, and Troy; and great- grandchild, Carl.
