Mary Anthonette (Thompson) White, known to all who loved her as “Amo,” passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 surrounded by family at her home in Tempe. She was 73 years old. Mary was born on February 13, 1944 in Princeton, Illinois. Mary worked at Smitty’s grocery store as a Candy Department Manager and cashier, but she is most known for what she took pride and joy in as a homemaker. Mary was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Gifford and Anthonette Thompson, and her brother Gifford (Ella Mae) Thompson. She is survived by her husband, Sheldon, her two children, Beth (Tony) McClure and Hugh (Enedina) White. She was so loved and adored by her grandchildren Mackenzie, Lindsay, Frank and Tony, along with her brothers Greg (Marianne), Gary (Michelle), and Tim (Margaret) Thompson and their families. A Celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at 10:00 am at Richardson Funeral Home, 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85282.
