Maxine Bohreer

Maxine Dora Bohreer, official meet and greeter for Shadow Mountain Mobile home park, known for her smile, matching outfits, outrageous Halloween costumes, 60 foot downtown Phoenix mural of her and best friend to many passed away in her sleep on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the young age of 92. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Marion Jay. A lover of sports all kinds of sports, she water skied from one side of the Salton Sea, in CA to the other in a four hour, non stop trip. And her love of bowling netted her many, many 200 pins and bracelets even has one for a 250 game. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, the matriarch on both sides of the family and now her work here is done. Happily attending a reunion with Marion and all the family and friends she has not seen in a long time. She will be so happy not to have the chronic pain and to have all the Mexican food she wants. Maxine even said she was going to learn to dance.
Grandma "Magazine" as she was called by her great-grandchildren leaves behind a family so blessed to have had her in their lives including her daughter Tricia and son Jay and wife Kim; grandchildren Chad & wife Janell, Chris & wife Amanda, Addison, Jason & wife Kristin and Amy; great-grandchildren Dayton, Cade, Nash, Paislee, Sheldon, Donovan, and Simon; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. No formal services are planned. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
