Michael Ballagh Missen

Michael Ballagh Missen (AKA Canadian Mike and Grandpa Mikey), 69, died January 13, 2018 at his home in Tempe. He was born March 22, 1948, in Toronto, Ontario, and spent his career in advertising as a graphic artist and creative director in Toronto, LaCrosse, WI, and St. Catharines, ON, before moving to Mesa, AZ with his wife and children in 1992. He was a talented artist, guitarist, and a hockey and soccer coach for his sons. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan, sons Barclay (Donna) and Zachary, beloved grandchildren Annika, Elinore, Quinn and Lyla, his faithful dog, Mollie, his brother, Mark, sisters, Gayle and Kim, nieces and a nephew, the Buresh family and countless friends across the US and Canada. Michael was "quick with a joke or to light up your smoke" and a man of unconventional charm and wit. We hope he's knock, knock, knockin' on Heaven's door. A private service will be held.. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
