Ronald Pinchak Obituary

Ronald James Pinchak, age 72, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at Archstone Care Center in Chandler, Arizona. He was born on Aug. 20, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Hazel and George Pinchak. After graduating from Washington High School in Princess Anne, Maryland, in 1964, Ron enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving as an aircraft mechanic for one tour in Vietnam. He married Carole Anne (Beauchamp) Long, his high school sweetheart, in 1974. Together, they had two sons. Ron was a talented carpenter, known for his attention to detail. He loved working with his hands and tending to his landscaping, spending many evenings on the porch with a beverage. He had simple tastes and a big heart. Later in life, he traveled often to spend time with his beloved grandson, Finn Pinchak. "Pop-Pop" was a tireless Lego builder, patient bicycle riding teacher, uncomplaining co-watcher of countless cartoons, and dependable napper. He snored loudly. After suffering a stroke in September 2017, Ron moved from Maryland to Arizona to spend his final years near his ex-wife and best friend, Carole, and their eldest son's (Eric's) family. Ron is survived by Carole Pinchak; sons Eric (Andrea) and Nathan Pinchak; stepson Shane Long and (Tammy); grandson Finn Pinchak; step-granddaughter Chelsey Jones; brother Bob Pinchak; several nieces and nephews; and close friends. He will be missed. Ron will be laid to rest next to his parents at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne, Maryland. Family, friends and others whose lives he touched are invited to a graveside service to remember him at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 followed by an informal gathering at American Legion 94 in Princess Anne, Maryland. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
