Zettie Williams Obituary

Zettie Mae Williams was born January 2, 1928 in Louin, MS to Barney Creal, Sr. and Nezzie (nee Shelby) Creal. She departed this life on Thursday, September 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Williams; parents; Barney Creal, Sr. and Nezzie Creal, paternal grandparents, Henry Burt Creal and Luzann (Gammage) Creal, maternal grandparents, Botley Gammage and Zettie Shelby, brothers; L.C. Creal, Prentiss “Ray” Creal, J.C. Creal, Barney Creal, Jr., Donnie Creal, Sr.; and one sister, Bobbie Jo Creal-Foster. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters; Annabelle (Johnnie) Jones of Casa Grande, AZ and Betty Pearl (James Sr.) Edwards of Joliet, IL; sisters, Doris Williams, Lennie Williams and Rosie Harris; brothers, John Robert Creal and Wiley Sr. (Genell) Creal; beloved grandmother of LaFonda (John) Gurka, Terrance Williams, Sr., Latroya (Duonne) Blackamore, Devon Autman, Jamicea (Robert) Newman, Edward Peterson, James (Wankenya) Williams and Johnathan Jones; extended granddaughter, Ami Schiedt; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Minor Morris Funeral Home, 112 Richards St, Joliet, Illinois. Funeral services will follow on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:00 am, with additional viewing from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1710 Carey St, Joliet, Illinois. Interment will follow at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona and Minor Morris Funeral Home, Joliet, Illinois are both compassionately serving the family.
