Christy Ann Bianchi

Christy Bianchi of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Valley-Friendship Village on December 07, 2019. Christy was born at home on Christmas morning, December 25th, 1947, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She is the fourth child of seven of Edward and Mary Hoban. She was united in marriage to Richard Bianchi on February 21, 2004. Christy had three children in Waukesha, Wisconsin before moving to California. She ultimately moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1994, to make a home with her mother and brother. After moving to Tempe, Christy worked for the Boys Scouts of America Western Region until her retirement in 2010. Christy was an avid and enthusiastic golfer and she was a member of Shalimar Golf Club. Christy loved and appreciated her many dear friends at Shalimar and because of her never-ending energy, she earned the nickname "the energized bunny". In addition to loving the game of golf, she was a vivacious woman, with beautiful sparkling eyes, that loved music and dancing. Richard always smiles when remembering her love of reading restaurant menus, and said she absolutely could not pass by a menu without stopping to read it. Christy was loved and appreciated by those she knew, and for the joy and fun she brought to her relationships. Christy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Wendy Regalado, her parents, Edward and Mary Hoban, her brother Edward (Eddie), and her sister Mary. Christy will be sadly missed by her loving husband Richard and her much loved children and grandchildren: Douglas [Julie] Doughty- Ryan and Megan; Edgar [Wendy] Regalado- Sydney and Ben; Tami Jones- Lauren and great grandson Liam; Richard's children and grandchildren: Tony and Catherine Bianchi- Lauren, Drew, and Cadie; Dan and Carissa Bianchi - Amber. Christy will also be greatly missed and remembered by her sisters Peggy Kratochwill, Claudia (Bill) Boettcher, and her brothers Timothy Hoban and Michael (Linda) Hoban. She will be also missed by her cousin Gail (Larry) Roghair, her nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and numerous friends. A Memorial Mass honoring our beloved Christy will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona on Thursday December 12th, 2019 at 9:30 am. A gathering to celebrate and pay tribute to Christy will immediately follow at Shalimar Golf Club, 2032 East Golf Avenue, Tempe, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, Christy's family is requesting donations be made to a charity of choice.
