Francis Richard Doria was born in New York in 1935 and was the youngest of his siblings. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was stationed in Duluth, Minnesota where he met the love of his life at a local cafe, Betty Impola.
They fell in love, married, and their family quickly began to grow. Throughout his life he was supportive of his wife, his kids and his granddaughter, who he helped raise. He was a protector, always there in the background caring for the people he put under his wing.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: watching sports with his family, a cold beer, and a refreshing swim on a hot summer day.
On the morning of October 26th, 2022 Francis passed peacefully in his Tempe home and was finally reunited with his beloved wife and son that passed several years before him.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Doria, granddaughter, Dominique Doria, and the people whose lives he touched. He will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, with his wife, on November 9th, 2022 at 12:30pm.
