John Provost Obituary

A son, a brother, an uncle, a friend... Abundantly loved and greatly missed, John Joseph Provost left our world, Saturday July 20th, 2019. We ache with heavy hearts at the loss of his life and miss his animated personality and incredible vitality. John deeply loved and celebrated his nieces, nephews, and step-daughter. He made sure they knew they were cherished by spending time with them, engaging in subject matters important to them, and doing things he knew they would enjoy. Thinking of his time with our children fills our hearts with the funniest and warmest memories. John's kindness had no confines. He was always ready to hold a door open and cheerfully say hello to strangers. John made other people's days better and helped them to see the good in themselves. John shared his time freely and patiently, willing to quietly listen with kindness and compassion. John was grateful for many meaningful friendships and a shared brotherhood with members of AA in Colorado and Arizona. John had a tremendous love for animals, especially his beloved Plott Hound, Anya, who is as gentle and kind as Johnny ever was. John was a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Nursing. Furthermore he was a Master Gardener. He loved farming fresh eggs from his chickens and growing fruits and vegetables for his table. John enjoyed visiting foreign countries including France, Sweden, Estonia, Finland, Russia, The Netherlands, Canada and Mexico. John created many lasting memories with family and friends during European, Caribbean, Alaska and Mexico cruises. John had varied interests, but more than anything people were his elixir. He loved camaraderie and engaging in hearty laughter, family games, cookouts with friends, sharing ideas, watching movies and documentaries, reading and speaking about books, and his love of food, especially sushi, steak, and sour cherry gummy candies! John was born on December 4th, 1970 and is survived by his father Joseph Arthur Provost and stepmother Susan Provost from Henderson, NV, his sister Renée Berberian and brother-in-law Paul Berberian from Boulder, CO, his sister Kim Tomsic and brother-in-law Steven Tomsic from Scottsdale, AZ, his sister Katie Salidas and brother-in-law Nick Salidas from Henderson, NV, his niece Marlo Berberian from West Hollywood, CA, his niece Noelle Tomsic from Ft. Worth, TX, his nephew Cayman Tomsic from Boulder, CO, his nieces Alyse Adkins, Zoey Salidas and nephew Hunter Salidas from Henderson, NV, Cathie Christensen from Tucson, AZ and his step-daughter Haleigh Christensen from Tucson, AZ. Additionally, John is survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Johnny, you left us too soon. You brightened so many of our days. We grieve you, we miss you, and we love you.
