Josiah Kelly Bryant III

Josiah Kelly Bryant III, 35 of Tempe, Arizona passed away on June 18, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona at Banner University Medical Center. He was born on July 12th, 1986 at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital. He was born to Sheila Greene Bryant and Josiah Kelly Bryant Jr. He was the middle boy between two sisters, Megan, the eldest and Emily, the youngest. Joe is also survived a host of family that loves him dearly on the Bryant and Greene sides of the family. Joe graduated from ASU with a degree in Kinesiology.  

Joe loved all sports growing up and had a special interest in basketball. He especially loved the Chicago Bulls through their Championship reign in the 90's. His favorite player was, of course, Michael Jordan. This created a fun rivalry in the Bryant home through the 90's as Megan and Emily's favorite NBA team was the Phoenix Suns, but thankfully the siblings were able to work through this.

Joe's love of basketball guided him through his life and inspired his career of being a basketball referee. He also loved playing basketball in the morning throughout his life with the Tempe Fire Department.

Joe was a friend to every person he came across. Though Joe wasn't a parent himself, he loved kids and was "the fun uncle" for all the children in his life. Joe also loved the more seasoned population. He taught many water aerobics classes for the City of Tempe and had many "girlfriends" over the age of 65.

Joe was planning on following the footsteps of his inspirational parents, Sheila & Kelly, by going to nursing school before his untimely departure.

Joe will be missed by a multitude of people from many walks of life. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, at Richardson Funeral Home, 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2121 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona.
