Katherine T Rowley

Katherine T. (Seifert) Rowley was born on March 16, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska to Katarina and Frank Seifert. She was the seventh of eight children. She lost both parents by the age of 11 and was raised by her beloved older sister, Bert. She began office work while in high school and trained to become an insurance adjuster. She married Robert Rowley in 1949 and continued working to allow him to complete his engineering degree. The couple lived in New York, Iowa, California, and Indiana before settling down in Arizona in 1966. They had two children: Robert II (Diane) and Aileen (Jim Walton). Kathy kept busy volunteering in schools, churches, and hospitals and by playing bridge and golfing. When Bob became disabled, she returned to full time work in insurance adjusting and administrative secretarial work for a variety of companies. She finally fully retired at the age of 75. Since then, her greatest pleasure was taking casino trips with her son. After years of health challenges, Kathy at 94 was ready to return to the Lord and join her husband, parents, and siblings. She passed away April 3, 2021. She will be truly missed by her children, her nieces and nephews, and her friends. We hope there is an Ultimate Poker machine reserved in heaven just for her. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, at Richardson Funeral Home, 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 3201 South Evergreen Road, Tempe, Arizona. Interment will immediately follow the funeral mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arizona Talking Book Library, 1030 North 32nd Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85008 or to the American Diabetes Association, 5333 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85014 would be appreciated.
