Lorraine "Lori" Ford Zimmermann

Lorraine “Lori” Ford Zimmermann, 69 of Tempe, Arizona passed away on January 11, 2018. She was born on October 4, 1948 the daughter of Francis J. and Rita B. (Berrigan) Ford in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Raymond Zimmermann of Tempe, Arizona, four brothers, Francis J. Ford Jr (Theresa) Phoenix, Arizona, Matthew Ford, and Michael Ford both of Denver, Colorado, James Ford (Kathleen) of Naperville, Illinois, and four sisters, Leslie Hackett (Dan) of Park City, Utah, Lisa Ford (William) of Parker, Colorado, Patricia Ford (Jim) of Centennial, Colorado, and Mary Hansen of Clearfield, Utah. As an Army “brat” and an Air Force wife, Lori lived in and traveled to many places throughout the world. She graduated from the University of Hawaii with a business degree and worked for the Federal Government, retiring in 1999 as an auditor for the Office of Child Support Enforcement. Lori’s love of travel continued into retirement and she and Ray spent many months each year traveling the country in their motor home. Lori was an amazing, sweet, funny, spunky, giving, loving person and could talk to anyone and have fun doing anything. No formal services are planned as the family is honoring Lori's wish for simplicity.
