Ray "Stubby" Rust, 68, of Tonopah, Arizonas and formerly of Dover, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Oct 16, 2020, at St Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, due to complications from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born January 8, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Leonard and Virgie Rust. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Joan Rust. He is survived by his wife of 26 yrs, Dena Moore Rust; his children, Gina Peck of Springdale, Arkansas, Michelle (Chris) Ford of Lamar, Arkansas, Clay (Carla) Rust of Arlington, Arizona, and Rebekah Rust of Tonopah, Arizona; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Sherran (Joe) Flippin of Houston, Texas; special brother in law, Doyle (Tamara) Moore of Conway, Arkansas, and special friends, Ed and Charlotte Shields of Buckeye, Arizona. Funeral services will be private. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Bona Dea Veterans Pavilion for friends and family to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, a cause he was passionate about. (Or just pray for Dallas Cowboys to make it to the Super Bowl 2021! He loved those guys)
