Rodney Stewart Obituary

Mr. Rodney Lee Stewart age 54 of Mesa, Arizona departed this life on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the Banner Baywood Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona. He was the husband of Brenda Kay (Morrison) Stewart. He was born on April 21, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Earnest and Lena Marie (Jones) Stewart. Rodney was a crane operator and was retired from Caine Steel. He was a member of the East Valley Free Will Baptist Church. Rodney spent a full career working as a crane operator in a steel mill to provide access and opportunity for his family. He was hands down one of the hardest workers at anything he did. His kind heart fell deeply in love with Brenda and they married in 1989. He cherished the moments he got to spend with family including family vacations. As a proud father, he loved attending all events any of his children participated in, including sports outings. He made sure it was known that he was their biggest fan with his shouts of encouragement from the sidelines. There was no distance too far, Rodney was sure to be involved in anything his children desired to do. He did whatever it took to make sure he could give the love of his life, Brenda, the world because she and the family they built together were his world. He loved all of his grandchildren and spent many days taking them for walks through the neighborhood. Rodney was a beacon of positivity and wisdom with a one of a kind laugh. He had immense patience and he always lent an understanding ear when it was needed. He always carried his roots in Kentucky proudly and it all stemmed from a deep love of family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lena Stewart and one brother, Douglas Stewart. Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Brenda Stewart of Mesa, Arizona, his father Earnest Stewart and wife Patricia of Corbin, Kentucky, three sons, Rodney Stewart and wife Kara, Christopher Morrison and wife Claire and Christoper Morrison all of Mesa, Arizona, three daughters, Brittany Stewart of Chicago, Illinois, Tiffany Stewart of Mesa, Arizona and Crystal Bickford and husband Franklin of Adrian, Michigan, two brothers, Ricky Stewart and wife Shawn of Sterling Heights, Michigan and James Stewart and wife Charlotte of Flat Lick, Kentucky, three sisters, Michelle Troutman and husband Bryon of Corbin, Kentucky, Cynthia Daniels and husband Ryan also of Corbin, Kentucky and Jennifer Morgan and husband Jon of Sterling Heights, Michigan.
