Sharon Theone Bernier

Sharon Theone (Orvik) Bernier, age 77, of Tempe, Arizona passed away after heart surgery on January 9, 2020 at Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona. Sharon was born on May 16, 1942 the daughter of Morris and Blanche (Larson) Orvik in Shelly, Minnesota. Sharon worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in North Dakota, Colorado and Arizona. She and her family moved to the valley in 1985. Sharon worked tirelessly as a devoted wife, mother and friend to everyone that knew her. She was a devout Christian, always active in prayer groups and a strong prayer warrior. She always put her family and friends first. She was known as a great cook and baker, specializing in homemade bread and caramel rolls, and for her juicing parties from the citrus trees in her backyard. Sharon is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bruce; 4 children: Dawn, Daniel, Diane and Deborah; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Sherwood Orvik and sister Maureen (Orvik) Larson. No formal services are planned. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona is compassionately serving the family.
