Obituary

Rose Ann Coombs, 75 of Tempe, Arizona passed away on March 13, 2020 at Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona.  She was born in Conejos, Colorado on October 5, 1944 the daughter of Tobias and Ramona (Lobato) Martinez and raised in Price, Utah. She attended Price High School. Throughout her life she had many jobs which included bookkeeper at BishCo in Blackfoot, Idaho and GXS Construction in Phoenix, Arizona, secretary at Aerojet Nuclear in Idaho Falls, Idaho and at the Singer Sewing Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and she also ran a day care in her home for several years in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Although she enjoyed working she always said that her favorite job was being a mother. Rose Ann was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her children and cherished every moment with them. She had two beautiful stepchildren and loved them as her own. She especially loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. She had a vivacious personality and was never afraid to be silly to make someone laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. After she retired she was a driver for Uber and Lyft. Many of her passengers gave her 5 stars and commented that she was very friendly and made the ride fun. She met a lot of interesting people during this time, many from different countries and nationalities. Rose Ann loved watching romantic comedies, singing with her sisters, chocolate, and spending time with family and friends. She loved people and wanted them to know how much she loved them and being a part of their lives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her father Tobias Martinez, Jr. and her mother Ramona Lobato as well as her sister Darla Martinez. She is the sister to three brothers, Arnold, Dennis, and Danny Martinez and two sisters Grace Martinez Steele and Priscilla Martinez Smith. She is the loving and devoted mother of Rochelle Grace Coombs Nunley, Grant Land Wayne Coombs, and David Mark Coombs, and stepmother of Walter Mickey Coombs Davis, and Kari Marie Coombs Davis. Cherished grandmother of Randi Nichole Nunley Farnsworth, Zachary Alan Farnsworth, Ryan Mitchell Nunley, Charles Michael Nunley, Nicholas James Nunley, Connor Mark Coombs, Alexis May Coombs, Gavin David Coombs, step grandmother of Kendell Walters, Aleea Marie Sluder, Tyler Lynn Davis and Korie Lee Davis. Beloved great-grandmother of Carter Flynn Farnsworth, Luke Reddington Farnsworth, Adelyn Davis, Gavin Davis, Aleesya MaeLeone Thomas and Vance Alan Michael Thomas.
